A figure confronts her own image not as a confirmation, but as a divergence. The reflected body resists alignment, suggesting identity as a constructed and shifting condition rather than a fixed state.

The space between figure and reflection becomes active—an unstable threshold where perception fractures and recomposes. What appears as self-recognition is instead a negotiation between multiple versions of the same presence.

The painting resists resolution, positioning the figure as both subject and observer within a continually shifting frame of authorship.
